NEW NZC LIFE AND HONORARY MEMBERS

Congratulations to some legends of the game here in Christchurch, for receiving much deserved recognition at the NZ Cricket AGM Yesterday.

Amy Satterthwaite was made a Life Member, while CMCA Board Member Kirsty Bond, Katrina Keenan and Chris Harris were all inducted as Honorary members.

While these four are most well known for their contributions at International and Domestic level, they have all also made huge contributions at Community level in Christchurch.

Amy played for the St Albans Cricket Club for 20+ years amassing an amazing record and despite representative commitments, she played regularly for her club.  She is also now helping coach the next generation of female players.

CMCA Board member Kirsty Bond also played for St Albans and has coached them for a number of years and has been a key driver in establishing a female cricket programme at the Willows.

Since retiring as a player, Katrina has made a huge contribution locally as a coach, helping a number of up-and-coming players through the years, coaching clubs, and also coaching the Christchurch Girls HS 1st XI for five seasons.

Chris Harris played for St Albans before moving to Sydenham as a player/coach after retiring from elite level cricket.  He helped Sydenham Cricket in a huge way, both on the field and off the field.
