It is impossible to compare club cricket records across the ages. Until 1988-89 all records were incorporated into the same statistics and since then, One-Day and more recently Twenty20 have been separated out. Modern players will struggle to match the two-day records of yesteryear due to this, but it is great to see the players of today moving up in the one-day and T20 career rankings. Some of the highlights from this season include;
- Greg Dawson (4261) and Jeff Case (4239) are the only two current players with 4000+ two-day runs, still 10,000 off the record of 14,464 set by Walter Hadlee
- Matt Holstein (308) has the most two-day wickets among current players, still 1300 behind Reg Read
- Aaron Johnstone (435) has the most wicket keeping dismissals in the history of two-day cricket and Scott Duggan (160) is also now inside the top 20.
- Aaron Johnstone (154), Ben Langrope (120) and Ben Rapson (110) are the current players with over 100 two-day games. Reg Read (322) holds the all-time record.
